Pierre Oulevay, a painter, sculptor, graphic designer and decorator, born in 1944, was schooled at the Ecole des Arts et Métiers in Vevey. He has participated to numerous personal and group exhibitions in Switzerland and France and benefited, since 1970, of a score of prices and commissions for the realization of public works in the Canton de Vaud.

In his pictorial expression, on the subject of the human form and the angel, the artist privileges with mastery the technique of oil in the way of the old masters, while being in the diapason of his time.
The sculpted works presented in the gallery, most of them in marble of St Triphon, describe refined forms recalling obviously feminine shapes, which keep up a dialogue with the paintings on a tone of secret exchanges and interiority, synonym of harmony and pure beauty. This is a breathtaking exhibition to see absolutely.
